The ski area can be accessed from Rio Gere, approximately seven kilometres from Cortina. A modern four-seater ski-lift allows skiers to reach the pistes that were the "birthplace" of the legendary Alberto Tomba. Expert skiers can ascend to Staunies (3000 metres) to tackle the Canalone Staunies black piste. The Cristallo pistes are linked to the Caloria ones at Rio Gere.

Ice stadium

The ice stadium, which hosts the training sessions and competitions of the local ice hockey and figure skating teams, is open to the public for skating. Ice skates can be rented. It also has a bar, tanning area and children's playground. Check the website for opening hours and further information.

Parco Naturale delle Dolomiti d'Ampezzo

This nature reserve covers an area of 11,000 hectares north of Cortina and is one of Veneto's four regional parks. It is home to many tourist itineraries, including eight via ferratas and six equipped trails. There are also eleven mountain huts dotted around the park or in the immediate vicinity of it, which offer menus featuring local specialities.

Ethnographic Museum

Church of Maria Vergine della Difesa

Built in late-Gothic style at the end of the fifteenth century and extended during the first half of the sixteenth century and again in the seventeenth century, the church houses artistic treasures including a triptych attributed to Francesco Vecellio, brother of the celebrated Titian, above the high altar.
