Following the success of the Biennale 2009 which was well received by the public and critics as well as published on the international press such as the New York Times, this year promises to be a stimulating and exciting celebration of contemporary art. Last edition, the works of more than 160 artists were exhibited from all over the world, from Korea and Israel to the USA and Australia.
This year there is lots of news for the Biennale. Apart from exhibiting the works of exceptional emerging and established artists, the Biennale presents many collateral events - one of the novelties is the "Voice of the Artist",  personal interviews in the purpose built studio at the museum, where the artists talk about what inspires them to create, thus connecting the viewer to their thoughts making them understand the driving-force behind their work.
There will also be four installations, connecting original works by timeless artists such as Tiepolo, Rembrandt and Munch with the avant-guard and contemporary art of Damien Hirst, Warhol and Dali. The installations will be realised by university students and will shed light on the new generation‘s artistic views and interpretations - their task to link and compare etchings by Durer with drawings by Guercino and the Veronese with paintings by Mario Schifano, an artist exhibited four times at the Venice Biennale.
The Biennale of Chianciano is an event to remember, held in the wonderful spa town of Chianciano, an exhibition which is not only for art lovers and collectors but for those who want to see something different, fresh and new.
